The Pyrite Resolution Board (PRB) has produced eight reports since the Pyrite Remediation Scheme was introduced in February 2014. Further statistics are provided on the PRB website and in recent news articles. See statistics below and follow links for original data.

Statistics reporting in the eighth quarterly report of the PRB:

26th February 2014 to 4th January 2016:

  • 995 completed applications
  • 37 developments containing multiple applications
  • 63 single site applications
  • 809 Validated applications
  • 744 applications included in scheme
  • 163 dwellings completed remediation
  • Works contractors in place for 184 dwellings
  • Tendering underway for 104 dwellings
  • Remedial Works Plans under preparation for 246 dwellings
  • 17 applications refused
  • No outstanding appeals
  • PRB received a total of €484,000 from liable parties in 2015

European Court gives opinion in James Elliott case

European court of justice opinion delivered

The Advocate General of the European Court of Justice, Campos Sanchez-Bordona has delivered an opinion on Case C-613/14 (James Elliott Construction Ltd v Irish Asphalt Ltd). The Opinion was given in response to the request for a preliminary ruling from the Supreme Court of Ireland. The Opinion was delivered on 28/01/2016.
